Oji Zoo (Kobe)

Yesterday was fine and not too sunny, the perfect weather for a visit to the zoo!

We chose Oji zoo in Kobe and it took about 40minutes from our house to get there. The entrance fee is reasonable, just 600yen for adults and kids are free!!

Despite the heat, we were able to see most animals, my favorite (the giraffes) and Yoshi`s favorite (the elephants). Aiden liked the huge bears and was able to come face-to-face with one through just a few centimetres of glass!

Others we saw?? Polar bears, a giant panda, a lesser panda, small alligators, lizards, turtles, gorillas, chimps, zebras, koalas, kangaroos and wallabies, ostriches and emus, and the animals in the petting zoo (sheep, a goat and a goose).

There is also an area with rides for little kids;

Such fun!!

note - the zoo is closed on Wednesdays.
